Janie Shelton & Ron Hakala

Janie Shelton from V-Rooms and Ron Hakala from the Currahee Club join Dana for a recap of the April Fools hijinks in corporate America as well as the local Atlanta business headlines.

Janie shared her insights into the need for secure document exchange and Ron tempted us with details of the good life at the Currahee Club on Lake Hartwell in Toccoa, Georgia.

AJ Robinson and Wilma Sothern on the CAP Annual Meeting

AJ Robinson and Wilma Sothern from Central Atlanta Progress join Dana and Elizabeth to talk about the CAP and Atlanta Downtown Improvement District Annual Meeting.  The meeting is next Thursday, March 28th at the Georgia World Congress Center.  Tickets are still available at AtlantaDowntown.com and AJ and Wilma shared some details about the meeting, the Atlanta Streetcar and the College Football Hall of Fame.

Dana and Elizabeth then hit the headlines (over the head) and dig into a new study by Georgia State that says “welfare does not promote work or marriage”.

Microsoft Senior Application Platform Solution Specialist David Rodriguez joins Dana and Elizabeth to talk about the Atlanta business headlines and dig into the problem of “big data”.  David spent some time explaining why we now have big data, how fast the amount of data we have is growing and some of the solutions Microsoft has in place to deal with it.

New World Trade Center members Dan Bradbary, John West, and Robert Stephens join Dana and Elizabeth in the studio to talk about the Atlanta Business headlines and share some news and updates from their respective businesses.

Dan Bradbary is the Founder and CEO of V-Rooms, which helps companies with “Secure Document Exchange”. He talked about the need companies have to securely share documents and information with parties “Beyond-The-Firewall” and explained how using a private-cloud like V-Room works.

John West is an International Management Consultant with AmAsia 3.  He shared some of the projects he works on, including team building at the Richard Petty Driving Experience!

And last but not least, Robert Stephens, Managing Partner at CFO Navigator shared the work he does helping companies who are in the ‘teen’ or ‘tween’ stage, where they need to pay more attention to their numbers but don’t have the financial horsepower to do so.

Playwright Lolita Snipes Joins Dana & Elizabeth Along with Two WTC Members

Elizabeth and Dana are joined in-studio by playwright and producer Lolita Snipes to talk about her new production at the 14th Street Playhouse, Good God A’Mighty! starring Melba Moore, Dante Carter and Just June.  The show opens this Thursday night 2/14 and promises to be a wonderful experience.

World Trade Center members, Joseph Walker, Executive Director of ITMS (International Travel Marketing Solutions) and Matilda Arhin, President Ghana World Chamber of Commerce and of DuxDuchy (a consulting firm) joined the usual headline coverage and banter and shared a bit about their companies and their take on the global marketplace.

Some highlights of the show include Dana making sure everyone understands that theater is not football and clarifying why and how Atlanta got the questionable title of “Sexiest City”!

World Trade Center members Mohamed Elsawah and Sasha Grujevski join hosts Dana Barrett and Elizabeth Gordon to discuss the Atlanta business headlines and their work in the global community.

Sasha Grujevski heads up the InvestMacedonia initiative for the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia here in Atlanta. He discussed the benefits of doing business in Macedonia along with just sharing a bit about the country itself.

Mohamed Elsawah of Cobb Business Solutions is currently working with the Legal Shield Corporation and GoSmallBiz.com, as an Independent Manager to increase sales and promote the company to small businesses in North America and Canada.  He joined in the fray with Dana and Elizabeth on the headlines and also shared his views on helping small to mid-size business make the move into working globally.

The Sagamores and Author Justin Honaman Kick Off 2013 with Dana & Elizabeth

Do music and business intersect?  They do on Good Morning Atlanta!  Hosts Dana Barrett & Elizabeth Gordon kick off 2013 with two members of the band The Sagamores and author/musician Justin Honaman who moonlights as a Vice President at Coke!

Along with the usual headlines, guest Justin Honaman was in to talk about his new book Be Extraordinary: Crush Mediocrity.
